But now.... the moment you've all been waiting for... the BIG giveaway. If you follow my facebook fan page you had the chance to enter a few giveaways there at the beginning of the year. But this is the FIRST EVER giveaway here on the blog, so I figured I better make it a good one.
Have you ever seen Oprah's Favorite Things? You know, where she gives away a car, and a house, and a country? Well, this isn't going to be quite like that, but it is going to be my
The winner of this giveaway wins ALL of the following items. Each of these items has helped me to create many of the past 500 posts. Some are new favorites, some are old steadies, but none the less, all are well loved.
(Disclaimer: All items are coming from Amazon.com, and some are limited quantity, so if for some reason one is sold out by the time the giveaway ends, I will replace it with a very similar item.)
Joseph Joseph Scoop Colander- this was a Christmas gift this year and I use it all.the.time to scoop pasta out of boiling water, remove potatoes from a pan, etc. Very useful.
A Wusthof pairing knife. Honestly, I've been drooling over Wusthof knives for some time now and just started my collection, so let me help you start yours.
Wilton 3 tiered stacking cooling racks- I use these daily. I use them for baking, I also use them when entertaining to create makeshift shelves in my fridge. They work beautifully for making extra shelves when you have a lot going on in the kitchen. And they unstack too.
My microplane- I use this constantly to zest lemons, grate cheese, etc.
My doughnut pan- my new BFF! I don't have a mini one, like this, I have a full sized, but I want the mini one too, so I'm living vicariously through you.
Deadline to enter: Midnight, Saturday the 19th.
ONLY ONE ENTRY PER PERSON, CONTINENTAL US RESIDENTS ONLY.
Good luck!
That's a hard one! I love seeing all types of recipes, but my favorites are probably the sweet treats :)
ReplyDeleteI like quick dinner recipes I can make after work.
ReplyDeleteThere's no clean answer to that question. I like to see all types of recipes, but the ones I gravatate to the most have clear instructions, a new twist on an old favorite, and/or a final product our family will love.
ReplyDeleteBy far, I bookmark dessert recipes most often.
ReplyDeleteAh! What a great giveaway! I LOVE seeing your chicken and fish recipes! Anytime I am in a slump I always come here and get a fresh new (and delicious!) idea!
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are from your Crock Pot section. Both my husband and I work long days and we love coming home to a finished meal:)

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 500! I'm all for any type of recipe, but I like your sweet ones :)
ReplyDeleteI love ogling food photography of beautiful sweets. But I also really appreciate weeknight meals for a realistic family.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say the cookies and muffins, however, I do appreciate when you post a quick and easy dinner too like the soy chicken you recently posted! Since those recipes are much harder for me to sift through on the "interwebs" :)
ReplyDeleteI love all your recipes - but especially the healthy ones!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 500th post.
Congrats!
ReplyDeleteEasy chicken recipes are my favorites and your blog never disappoints when I need a new recipe. Thank you!
I love all types of recipes but I think my favorite would have to be sweets!
ReplyDeleteI love anything for the crock pot first and foremost, after that is the appetizer's that you put pictures off that will make me drool. Your's was the first food blog I ever viewed and the one I always turn too. I like that your making the food I would eat. I can always find something for a meal when I struggling on my own.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Steph! Your blog has always been my favorite because we have similar tastes and you make recipes easy enough for someone as inexperienced as I am. My favorites are definitely your Asian recipes (especially the sweet & sour chicken!) because they are so much healthier than take out. I also love recipes with short, simple and fresh ingredients lists.
ReplyDelete500 is awesome!! Congrats!! I like to look at all recipes and am excited when it's something I can actually make (I keep kosher and a lot of recipes are things I can't make or can't even adapt well). So, the more recipes, the better the odds I'll find things I can try!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love seeing recipes for sweets (and bookmarking them to make later--to give away of course!), I mostly make the healthy dinner recipes. You haven't steered me wrong yet!
ReplyDeleteI always love a good dessert post!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite recipes are sweets, but anything new with chicken is always a plus!

ReplyDeleteI love the desserts section but any recipe dealing with chicken I usually bookmark! We get stuck in a routine and recycle the same chicken dishes so I'm always up for something different!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite posts are the sweets and pasta dishes! I love to bake and am a total carb addict so those two posts always get me excited! I really enjoy looking at your blog and have downloaded so many recipes I dont know when I am going to try them all! Tonight I am going to try your Garlic Roasted Asparagus. I too am a veggie hater but I am hoping to reform myself with your veggie recipes!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on 500 posts, that's quite an accomplishment! I love to read any of your recipes!
ReplyDeleteI love your chicken or pasta recipes. I don't eat red meat so those have been my favorite. You should try experimenting with soy products! Thanks for all your recipes.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is great! I love that you post recipes that are user friendly and I often find a recipe that I can pull together quickly for dinner if I just want something a little more low key.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!!!
Now that's a tough one, I like so much on your blog! I'd have to say the quicker week night dinners are probably my favorite, but I have to say I love the sweet treats too!
ReplyDeleteThat's a hard one! I love the quicker dinners I can do during the week, but I also lobe the sweet treats! Your blog is one of my favorites!!
ReplyDeleteI like quick recipes that are easy to put together after work.
ReplyDeleteohhh so many recipes I've made from you...my favorite cake recipe by far is the Reese's Peanut Butter Cake. I lust over chocolate and pb...this is sinful and mouthwatering!
ReplyDeleteI love the many different recipes you post...You are my
go-to blog when I am in a bind to find a recipe!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
That's tough...it really depends on my mood, what strikes me and what looks/sounds good! I think, typically, I go for savory dishes. But I love seeing baked goods too!
ReplyDeleteI always look at your blog when planning my recipes for the week :-)
ReplyDeleteI have made many things from your blog and been a follower for some time now. I love your blog because I feel like we have similar cooking styles. ReplyDeleteI love all recipes. Creative, simple, complex, exotic, traditional...whatever! I also love to photograph food, so I really enjoy looking through your food photos, too! Congratulations on post #500! Looking forward to many more!!
ReplyDeleteI like to see sweets recipes. I like to cook, but I love baking and love to get new ideas from other blogs!
ReplyDeleteBefore I started to enjoy cooking, I was a baker. This year I've moved out of my comfort zone and started "grown up" cooking as I call it. I love collecting various quick dinner or crock pot recipes. And the biggest perk of using a blog to find them is that they've been tested by "real" people and you can see how they really turn out!
ReplyDeleteThe desserts! I love the cake batter bark.
ReplyDeleteI love my crock pot so much so I guess I love crock pot recipes.
ReplyDeleteAnything sweet! Like the cinnamon glazed donuts, mmmm.
ReplyDeleteI have two favorites, first is any gorgeous in depth dessert. I crowd pleaser dessert.
ReplyDeleteSecond is easy dinners with great taste.

ReplyDeleteWell first, a huge congrats is in order for lucky number 500! That's wonderful, very inspiring for anyone whose passionate about food. Now let's get down to business. The business of PIZZA! Although pasta is a close second, I like to see new and creative ways to "spruce up" the ol' ball of dough.
ReplyDeleteI'm partial to sweets but I love appetizer recipes too.
ReplyDeleteAt lease once a week I look foward to one of "Stephanie's Creations". Whenever I don't know what to make I know right where to go to find something delicious. YOur recipes are easy, they have "normal" ingredients and are soooo tasty. I like all kinds of recipes because I eat EVERYTHING!!!
ReplyDeleteYour chicken dishes always perk my interest, as well as your desserts! I love your blog and am always getting inspired :)
ReplyDeleteI think I like a good variety but my favorite kind of recipes are those that use everyday ingredients in a new and interesting way. That way you can read it go right to your kitchen make it then and there. No need to go to the store.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on 500 posts! I'm a newcomer to your blog, and I've really enjoyed the variety that you put up here. This house has big chicken fans, so anything new I can make is a plus.
ReplyDeleteI like casseroles, crock pot recipes, and easy desserts!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to pick one because your recipes never disappoint. Your mushroom tartlets (made with crescentrolls) has always been a hit at parties, and I love your pasta and chicken recipes!
ReplyDeleteHUGE CONGRATS on your 500th post!
ReplyDeleteSo, my favorite kind of recipes are ones I can replace with convenience food items and make more healthy for my kids. Like your recent post on granola bars.
Also, crock pot recipes are rocking my world lately.
I totally love your dessert recipes! I have a huge sweet tooth! They have been great to bring along to people's houses too! Thanks for all the great ideas!
ReplyDeleteI like all kinds of recipes, but since I have a gigantic sweet tooth, I'm going to go with desserts.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 500th post.
Definitely desserts!
ReplyDeleteI like to see quick and fun dinner recipes, I'm always looking for something new to try. Sweets as well, I love to bake!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 500 posts! I just recently discovered the world of cooking blogs and yours is one of the first ones I started following often. A big part of my reason for beginning to follow cooking blogs was to find healthy new ideas for my husband and I to get to a healthy weight prior to having a child, so my favorite type are low fat/calorie weight watchers type recipes.
ReplyDeleteI just learned of that pasta scooper this week and they look awesome!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite recipes to see are ones that are on the healthy side.

ReplyDeleteI love making sweets so I probably look at those recipes first on blogs. But I am always looking for dinner inspiration as well....
ReplyDeleteIt's hard for me to say. I really love pasta dishes because they tend to be easier to make...but after reading some of your recipes, I feel confident that I can spice it up a lil' bit! :p My hubby works weird hours, so dinner time (sadly) is only my 4 year old, my 10 month old and I. It's hard to convince a 4 year old to eat veggies, but in a lot of your recipes, you incorporate veggies...but hide them in a way! It's genius!
ReplyDeleteI also really like chicken dishes, and I cannot wait to make the chicken caccitore dish!!!! My hubby usually complains when I spend time on the net while he's home, but he doesn't complain anymomre when I'm on your blog because I end up cooking a delicious meal for him! :)
I am dying to try the chocolate chip cookie dough dip!!
I'd have to saw sweets since I prefer baking, even though I have to cook everyday!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 500!! I love seeing new and different sweets recipes but I don't make them often (or I would eat them!) so savory is probably better for my everyday life...but you better believe I star the sweet ones in google reader and save for special occasions!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I love drooling over your desserts, I'm most likely to try some of your quicker dinner ideas.

I love sweet and I love salty! My new favorite salty recipe is the crispy skillet potatoes, we were eating them out of the pan before they were even done cooking! Every time I use one of your cookie recipes I get so many compliments, they're delicious!
ReplyDeleteTough question, I guess I would say my favorite thing to see is main dishes because that is where I sometimes get stuck in a rut, but the posts that make me run to the store the same day to buy the ingredients are the desserts :)
ReplyDeleteGuess, I didn't really choose...do I have to? ;)
Snacky stuff, like the pretzel bites!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say sweets!!! kimmymay03@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI love seeing new ideas for baking, which is my personal strength. And new twists on old classic recipes, who doesn't like to change it up?
ReplyDeleteI've got to say, I love your bread recipes! Your Hawaiian rolls hold a special place in my family since it was one of the first things I made my hubby (who happens to be Hawaiian!) back when we began dating. The rolls were, and still are, a huge hit. And I swear they're the reason there's a ring on my finger ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd since we're talking about bread... show us how to make some good-old-fashioned challah!
