100 Calorie Pack Cookies

Unless you live under a rock you are aware of the wide variety of 100 calorie packs available. Chips, cheetos, cookies, peanut butter crackers, even candy bars! You name it, they package it (and over charge it!) in a 100 calorie portion. In the past month or so I have been slowly cutting out fake sugars and preservatives. I've also started attempting to not purchase foods with words in the ingredient list that I can't pronounce. With that said, there goes almost all 100 calorie packs. I enjoy the idea of a 100 calorie pack, or a small portioned treat. I love treats! Every night I like to have a delicious treat or dessert but I don't like to waste too many calories which makes 100 calorie snacks wonderful. I decided to make my own 100 calorie packs. That way I knew what was in them and could really have something delicious, not cookie "wafers."

These are really remarkable. I found the recipe on Weight Watchers website and instantly knew they were going to be a winner. After I made them I packaged them with 4 little cookies in a Ziploc bag. Then I placed the bags in a freezer bag and stuck them in the freezer to keep them fresh. I really look forward to having these little treats! I got 11 100 calorie packs out of this recipe (although the recipe will yield enough for 12... John and I may or may not have eaten the other 4, I will not confirm nor deny!) I do feel the need to mention that Weight Watchers online didn't list the nutritional stats for these, just the points, so I can't be sure if they are exactly 100 calories, but the four cookies comes out to 2 points which is approximately 100 calories.

Make these- you will love them, save money, and eat a 100 calorie snack that feels REAL!

Ingredients
2 Tbsp butter, softened
2 tsp canola oil
1/2 cup(s) packed brown sugar, dark-variety
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp table salt
1 large egg white(s)
3/4 cup(s) all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375ºF.

In a medium bowl, cream together butter, oil and sugar. Add vanilla, salt and egg white; mix thoroughly to combine.

In a small bowl, mix together flour and baking soda; stir into batter. Add chocolate chips to batter; stir to distribute evenly throughout.

Drop rounded half-teaspoons of dough onto one or two large nonstick baking sheets, leaving a small amount of space between each cookie. Bake cookies until golden around edges, about 4 to 6 minutes; cool on a wire rack.

Once cooled, package 4 cookies per Ziploc. Freeze the bags inside a gallon sized freezer bag. Allow to come to room temperature and enjoy.

** 2 points per package

  2. Was the original serving size 4 cookies for 2 points on WW site?

  3. Lindsey- no, it was 2 cookies for 1 pt. I cut the chocolate down from 1/2 cup by using mini chips in place of regular, allowing it to be 2 pts for 4 cookies.

  7. I finally got to make these today. I used white, milk and dark chips that I chopped up, and made them into 6 tiny cookies. They are so good. Thanks so much for sharing!

  8. I don't get how in your picture the cookies in the bag looks like balled cookies, but mine came out as small flat cookies.

  9. If they came out flat I would check your baking soda. You want it to be fresh.
